Anna turns 4

Anna's birthday was Saturday the 24th. We were in Midland for the State track meet at Trinity School. I missed the entire track meet due to being ill. We did have a small party with Alan's parents and sister.
Anna will have another party this Saturday. She said she had to have a Tinkerbell party with her cousin Rachel. So I will be making a Tinkerbell cake real soon.

Easter Pictures

I did something different this Easter. Andrew and Anna decided they should match for Easter this year. We went to the Children's Place where I can get a good bargain with my tricks. Since they were so cute in their matching clothes I took pictures and made a Easter card and sent to family. A funny thing happened. When we showed up to Church Easter Morning, almost all of the children of the congregation were dressed in Children's Place outfits. All of us Moms had a good laugh.

Spring Break!

My favorite part of spring break was having picnics out on the lawn and then we laid on our backs and watched the clouds. I have not done that since I was a kid. We now have made that a Saturday lunch and a Sunday evening supper tradition.

Here comes the Bride?

My mom made Anna and Rachel a white dress to play dress up in for Christmas. We were at Goodwill one Saturday afternoon and they had dress up bridal veils for $1.99. Of course Anna and I could not resist. So we got home and she put her white dress on, went and got a bouquet of flowers that I carried in a wedding almost two years ago and she put the veil on. When she walked in the room, my heart sank and my stomache hurt. Her daddy came home later and saw the pictures, and of course he did not like that at all.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

These past several weeks have been extremely crazy for us. We have had to deal with allergies, as everyone around us has. Over spring break, Alan's Grandmother passed away unexpectedly. Alan is in Track season, I am in UIL Choir season (ready for this to be over) and the kids are busy playing outside and having picnics and Anna loves to smell the Iris's and the yellow roses that are blooming around our house.

One night for dessert, I decided to have chocolate covered strawberries and bananas. Two of my favorite things, fruit and chocolate. The kids and Alan really got excited. Andrew and Anna had so much fun diving into the chocolate.
