Field Day

Yesterday was Field Day and for the first time ever, I actually had fun at Field Day.  Maybe because instead of being a teacher, I was a parent.  Andrew did great!  He ran the 50 yard dash and won first place and then decided at the last minute to run the relay.  He was the last heat of his relay and placed 2nd. 

While Andrew was more competitive, Anna was just out there to have fun.  She ran the 50 yard dash and got 6th place and the 100 yard dash and got 5th place.  I watched her run and turn to her friends running with her and she smiled at them and giggled as they past her.  She could have cared less what she got.

The afternoon was back at the elementary, and students went to different stations.  While the morning was nice, breezy and cool, the afternoon felt more like South Texas........humid and hot.

Andrew's class were the Minions and yes they all voted to wear pink shirts.  They said it was in honor of me.
